About ICPA

Our Purpose

The purpose of the organization is to promote the sport of pickleball for individuals of all ages in Itasca County and surrounding areas, to facilitate the use of the pickleball courts and equipment, make rules and regulations for the optimum use of court space, and to promote goodwill, sportsmanship, and fellowship among its members. The association will provide organized play, skills and drills offerings, community play events, and hosting of regional competitive tournaments.

Our Accomplishments

2024 – Will host the 7th Annual Lakes and Loons Pickleball Tournament, our largest fundraiser for the ICPA Association.

2023 – Hosted the 1st Annual Itasca Pines Senior Classic Pickleball Tournament created for players ages 50 and above.

2022 – Raised funding to add an additional four (4) pickleball courts to the Outdoor Activity Complex at the YMCA resulting in 10 dedicated pickleball courts, one of the largest venues in northern Minnesota.

2018 - Formed a volunteer committee in collaboration with the YMCA to design an outdoor court facility featuring six (6) dedicated pickleball courts, a full-sized basketball court, and four-square courts for young children. Funds were raised through donations from association and community members as well as grant funding.

2016 – Hosted the 1st Annual Lakes and Loons Pickleball Tournament.
